Monochrome

Typeface Design

Crafted a modular grid-based typeface in Figma, leveraging intersecting circles and lines to ensure geometric precision and consistency. Managed the design workflow from structural exploration to type specimen applications, enhancing typographic adaptability across digital and print formats.

Inspired by chrome circles, Monochrome is a sleek, modern sans-serif typeface meticulously crafted on a grid system of intersecting circles and lines. The design embraces geometric harmony, resulting in a typeface that is both minimalist and dynamic, suitable for contemporary branding and editorial applications.

To demonstrate its versatility, I developed a type specimen showcasing Monochrome in various contexts, including album covers, posters, and magazine layouts. Each application highlights the typeface’s adaptability—whether as a bold headline font for striking visual impact or as refined body text for a clean, editorial feel. The monochromatic approach further enhances its timeless sophistication, allowing it to seamlessly integrate into diverse design aesthetics.

Through this project, I explored the intersection of typographic precision, geometric balance, and modernist design, resulting in a typeface that is both functional and expressive, bringing a contemporary edge to digital and print media.
